Way too cool real McCoy: Dale Mewhorter
By smgenglish SOCIAL MEDIA on 22 December 2009 | (2) Comments | Permalink
Meet Dale Mewhorter, one of the many almost famous short track racers from accross the land. Despite his all unsuccessful attempt to race at Daytona in his way too wedgie Superbird, good ole Dale made his racing laps on the Albuquerque dirt track with his too tight T-shirt and bell bottom jeans wearing buddies. All this of course back in the day. We ought to venerate such amateur racers for their looks alone! Dale is now 71 and lives in Apache River, AZ.See also : Motorsport | Vintage Racing

Here is another local hero! Rapid Roy Blumenhagen and his red Oldsmobile Cutlass. Often sponsored by Kirby Hairstudio, although it does not look as if Rapid Roy was a frequent customer there, he later switched to a Camaro, which looked more than a cheapo batmobile wannabee and lacked the class of the Olds!See also : NASCAR | Nostalgia | Vintage Racing

Bob Lutz was right: global warming is horseshit
By smgenglish SOCIAL MEDIA on 10 December 2009 | (0) Comments | Permalink
More and more proof is coming over the web that makes global warming look like the biggest hoax of the past five years! Here is a link to the latest comments and news about the "Climate Gate"! Developping countries are now furious and stating that global warming was all made up by the rich nations to burden the poor in order to slow down or even prevent their industrial development and wealth! Seems like global warming is at least a good excuse to bring in new taxes and try to make us all drive tiny, slow and boring automobiles! Saint Bob Lutz, please rescue us from this insanity!See also : Environment
